Apple gear is pricey, but there’s an easy way to save 15% off a new laptop. Here’s how.
Buy refurbished. That’s it.

Apple sells last year’s Macbooks at a 15% discount, and it’s covered by the same one-year AppleCare warranty! I’ve bought a bunch of Macbooks this way and never had an issue. I imagine that, in most cases, someone bought a Macbook, decided they wanted a different color, and returned it. Apple refurbs it, and sells it to you for $150 less.
Just visit https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished the next time you need to buy a laptop.
I’ll just add that this is a good way to get a new (to you) Macbook, iPad, or Airpods, but I wouldn’t get an iPhone this way.
